Welcome! Glad you are visiting my site! My name is Cathy. I am an enthusiastic amateur photographer with a passion for ballet. I am also a mom of 3 and happily married to my husband, Ken, of 26 years. We have 2 grown sons, Peter and John, ages 23 and 21 and a daughter, Leilani, age 16. I am also a RN (currently ER), and we are in our 18th year of homeschooling.
For me photography is my creative outlet and my "canvas" for capturing the wonders of God's creation and the beauty of dance. I thank God for all He has made and find I rediscover His handiwork anew from behind the lens of my camera - from the tiniest flower tucked in a blade of grass to a grand jette performed by a skillful ballerina. I revel in the colors of a sunset, the reflection of a wave, and the smile on a child's face and wonder that God would create such a world of endless fascination.
For those looking at my ballet photos, please know that this is an ONGOING WORK IN PROGRESS. I typically upload one gallery at a time after doing touchups on my computer. As you can imagine, this takes hours of work. You may also notice that there are a few backstage images. I hope the viewer will enjoy this different perspective of the dancer's performance.
